I had to make a trip to Chelsea this evening so I took the long way around by side roads to Ann Arbor. The afternoon sun kept teasing through the clouds making some interesting light. The roads were icy for the most part, and narrowed considerably, so I poked along, hardly daring to stop. I did manage to grab a few shots.

Shadow pattern on my "lawn" in the backyard

Somebody left this pair of work boots hanging on the fence. Maybe they tried to sneak in barefoot???

There's this thing about old barns...

It made for an interesting afternoon. Of course, anytime spent on the road with a camera is interesting.

One of the fun things about being a docent at the Air Zoo having more access to the planes. Today I went over for a Photo Night Committee planning meeting and came early to do some cleaning. I'm responsible for keeping our Tomcat tidy. That means getting out the tall stepladder and taking a duster to the top side of the F-14. Today I dragged my camera up there with me to get a shot of the SR-71. The angle puts the State of Michigan in the background.

Darth Blackbird!

These are some detail shots from our Corsair. The first is a propeller decal. It's a 13' 4" propeller!

February 27 is a photo night. We'll have models and all sorts of goodies. In the meantime, I get to shoot to my hearts content.
