We went up to my sister's place on Little Olin Lake for Thanksgiving. The day itself was wonderful with a marvelous meal, lots of chatter and laughter, and all framed by a gentle, lake effect snowfall which dropped six inches of powder on everything. This morning was cold and the snow fresh so I ventured out for a few shots. The scenes were pretty much monochromatic, but I left the color in a few.

I've been busy hunting deer for the past week or so and haven't even touched a camera. So I decided to take a short walk out to Cascades. Not much happening --- even the Geese were away.
I find milkweed pods endlessly fascinating. So many shapes and textures.
This mallard was preening but here I caught him mid-stretch.
We're entering a tough time of year for photography in Michigan. Maybe when the snow flies.
